Dr. Bridget Agomuoh, MD
Born as the fourth child into a family of eight, Dr. Bridget is a pro at creating calm within her environment. Daughter of a teacher and a police officer, she was encouraged to study medicine after acing her primary exams. Upon entry to her medical education, she fell in love. Emigrating from Nigeria to the United States in 1997, she fortunately continued her medical training in Henry Ford Pediatric Residency and then Children’s Hospital Of Michigan. As a sickly child herself, she enjoyed learning how to explain the things that she dealt with growing up and believes that inquisitive, helpful spirit has propelled her to help when she sees a child or a young adult struggling to find their way in the world. Starting her own family made it easy for her to relate with those who come through her office.
“I was that child that was constantly congested, that child that always had a belly ache with random foods.” Following residency, she spent 3 years working with premature babies and babies with rocky starts, but when she began working in primary care, she never looked back. For Dr. Bridget, pediatrics is more than children’s medicine. Pediatrics is also advocacy for children’s best life and beneficial future.
